Stop Back and Body Acne

Body acne can be much more stubborn than facial acne, and since traditional means of acne treatment are rather difficult to apply to areas such as your back, many people are unsure how to deal with it. B5 treatment method is effective for back and body acne as well, but it is more useful for prevention of body acne than clearing what is already there. Since these pimples can stay in the skin for a long time, there are some other steps you should take in order to get clear skin sooner rather than later.

The skin texture over areas such as your back is typically tougher and thicker than the skin that covers your face. Back and Body AcneThis, combined with the fact that your back does not receive the same exposure to the elements that your face does, makes for some stubborn conditions for acne.

Facial acne is often directly related to your levels of skin oil, and while this plays a role in body acne as well, body acne is more susceptible to clogged pores that result from the build-up of dead cells. This is because exfoliation, the process of shedding the older dead cells on the top layer of your skin, happens less frequently for areas such as your back.

Whenever you wash your face, use an exfoliating scrub, or even when a man shaves his face, you are aiding the exfoliation of your skin. The problem is that this type of care is usually not given to scrubbing your back in the shower. If you’re used to just lathering up your hands and quickly washing just as far as you can reach, you’re not doing enough. If this is you, buy a body sponge or back scrubber and some moisturizing body wash today. Keep in mind that the skin over your back and shoulders is tougher than the skin on your face, and merely lathering with your hands may not do the job. Apply body wash to a sponge or scrubber and wash your back thoroughly each day. Scrubbing your back and shoulders with a textured sponge or scrubber helps make sure you scrape away those dead cells before they clog up your pores.

When you start exfoliating the skin on your body properly, you will probably notice a difference fast. Combined with acne prevention, you’ll be on your way to clear skin. Just keep in mind that exfoliation does not need to be harsh on your skin. Using a sponge with some texture is good, but you should not need to press hard against your body. If you irritate your skin, you will only be inviting new acne to form. For this reason, a gentle, non-drying body wash is also recommended.

One of the great benefits of vitamin B5 acne treatment is simply that it treats acne all over your body at once. Even if you do manage to find a topical acne product that works for your skin, hardly anyone can go through the trouble of treating an area such as their back with a cleanser, toner, and lotion (multiple times a day!). And even if they could, the thicker skin on your back and shoulders is going to be much more resistant to these treatments. They have acne body sprays and washes now, but I’ve yet to see anything that offers a real benefit above your average, normal body wash – and the most effective topical treatment, benzoyl peroxide, is simply not a viable alternative since it would bleach all your clothes!

Without a doubt, internal treatments are the way to go for treating and preventing back and body acne. Just make sure that you’re exfoliating properly to get rid of your current spots as fast as possible, because pimples can stay in the thick skin of your back for quite a long time if you don’t do anything about it; and as effective as B5 is, it helps more with prevention than with killing off current blemishes, so get yourself a good back scrubber if you need one.
